May 8, 2023 (Vancouver, BC) – RTOWN, a Vancouver-based performance marketing agency, announced today it has acquired the assets of Mintent Digital Agency, a full-service agency based in Vancouver and the Greater Toronto Area, for an undisclosed amount. This strategic move is aimed at jointly enhancing capabilities and amplifying digital marketing services to all of the Canadian SMBs they serve.
Luke Aulin, CEO of RTOWN and past recipient of BiV’s Top 40 under 40, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Mintent and all of its employees and customers to the RTOWN team. This acquisition is a strategic move to further enhance our marketing-as-a-service programs for growing Canadian SMBs. Mintent’s strategic approach to digital marketing will allow us to offer our customers more effective digital marketing strategies, content strategies, and advertising campaigns. Our aligned core purposes of supporting SMB growth through digital marketing, make us a great fit to combine forces.”
Matt Dion, CEO of Mintent, said, “We are excited to join forces with RTOWN and become a part of their innovative performance marketing team. Our synergies across our core values and teams make this relationship a perfect match and will provide more comprehensive and impactful services to all of our customers.”
Luke Aulin added, “The acquisition of Mintent is a significant milestone for RTOWN, and we are excited about the opportunities it presents to serve our customers better as well as confidently grow through our own M&A efforts. We are also very excited to be working with Krista LaRiviere, who founded gShift SEO Software, which was acquired by Mintent in 2018. Krista will run the day-to-day operations of the combined businesses as RTOWN’s Chief Operating Officer. I am personally very excited about the opportunity this presents to support other marketing business owners in their desires to realize on an exit for the companies they’ve spent their lives building. This being RTOWN’s second merger, we believe we now have the right platform and approach to support integrating aligned cultures, driving increased customer value in the process and enabling an exit path for other agency owners who might otherwise struggle to find one, given the complexities to scale in our market.”
